Football Strategy  An American Football game you can play against nearly anyone. They don't need to know how football works; it's all in the rules and charts, and easy to work out as you go along. You call the plays and don't mess around with individual players or team strengths. It works purely as a game, and at capturing the look and feel of the gridiron game. Age 10 & up. Complexity: low. Detroit Cleveland Grand Prix  An interesting twist on motor racing. Before the race begins the various cars are auctioned off to players. Cars are moved according to cards played by the players, so which cars you'll bid for is determined by which cards you hold. But you'll have to play cards to move other cars as well, so there's quite an art involved in the bidding and the racing. Price: £19.75.

Club Golf  Club Golf is a game of risks. There are three packs of cards, one set for the course (the hole cards), one set for your choice of club (seven sorts) and one set of chance cards. You look at the current hole card to see your current lie, you pick your club, draw a card of that type and check it against the hole card to see where you landed (and what you landed in). You can also support your shot with a (good) chance card, or use a (bad) chance card to bring bad luck to an opponent (which makes it a little bit more competitive than most golf games: bad luck is something done to you by your opponent). Ages: 10 & Up. Price: £10.00.
